When we start learning from our past, we implement the results in our present. Not right away, but we do improvise on things and plan for a future that’d be better, not just for us but for the upcoming generations. The unseen future, is not the coming future that we’re planning for, but those are the impacts, side-effects or whatever we want to call it! But it’s negative sides and the things that’ll become our future mistakes to learn from.

Life isn’t fair, everyone knows it and is aware of it. How does an information like this could be so far spread to every corner of the world and still be a huge issue? Let’s analyze some aspects and put some light to the so called “Resolving Issues” of this world.

The Rich Class

Most of the rich class is in those parts of the globe where the things are much more modern, surroundings are developed and people are still miserable and hate their lives. But their daily habits, their consumption habits, their opinions and beliefs regarding poor countries is what creates this imbalance and difference in the world.

Let’s elaborate on this a little to get a better picture of what the hell we’re talking about here:

For Instance,

A rich person who works as a maintenance worker for a developed country, goes to use the washroom. He uses an average of 10 litres of fresh drinkable water during his visit. He’ll use about 6-8 sheets of paper to just dry his hands and use about 1/6th of the toilet paper roll to wipe. Now, this isn’t expensive for him and this is sustainable and he continues doing this without worrying about it ever in his lifetime.

What makes this cheap and affordable to him? Why does he think that this is normal while all of this could’ve been done with probably half of it if not less without compromising on the cleanliness.

What’s the catch?

The catch here is, he makes enough money to be able to afford these habits without any issues and while he’s considered to be in the middle class, he’s still not becoming poorer with these habits of his. And what makes all of this possible for him is the manufacturing of those items and where it’s done. China is already one of the biggest manufacturer for pretty much anything you could think of.

Now, these things have to come from somewhere, you need and supply chain for these items. You need raw material to transform it into something and make something out of it. Where do those come from? The answer is very clear, just google “the most polluted countries in the world”. It’ll give you a clear picture of the culprits.

Industrialization Side Effects

When it comes to manufacturing and it’s side effects, you’ll notice why most industries move toward these countries. Most of them are able to provide you cheap labour because of how poor they are and how much ROI (Return On Investment) they can easily provide. This makes the land, air and waters of those parts so polluted that is not easily recoverable.

This vision of better life in the already developed countries is also making the lives of people living in developing countries worse. And day by day this just grows more and more. As the population rises, so will the demand. How come USA is 3rd in the population chart but nowhere near in the top polluted countries list? What’s the catch here?

Where are we headed?

This is the unseen future that we are talking about. Everyone is so caught up in the growth and supply chain of the next shiny gadget or those fashionable clothes or the most stylish car, that no one is looking at where this will lead those parts of the world to? Even the garbage is sent down to those parts of the ocean that we just don’t want to see and keep it out of our sight. One day it’ll catch up to the humanity though. The space we have is finite and with the population growth in this world, the space will not be enough one day.

Solution?

When the time comes and it will, with this trend, we will need a better way to deal with the waste that we produce, we will need to take care of all the issues that we aren’t looking at and are growing in the shadows. These are those monsters that lurk from the shadows and when the light is shined upon, they’ll turn out to be way bigger to be able to face. This can bring to extinction of the humanity, if not, worse. Imagine mutated human beings, mutated life forms of the species as we know.

It’s not a beautiful future and if we want to avoid it, we need to avoid it, something needs to be done, sooner rather than later about it…
