This is something that people don’t talk about much, or ever. But Energy Leak is something that one should take seriously if you ever want to be successful in life. Not just at your career, also at the relationships, mental and physical health. This is something that you should not take granted for…

My Case?

Now, I hope that made it serious enough. In case you’re wondering, is it really that serious? Let me tell you…yes it is. The more important and relevant it is in accordance with how much “yourself” is important to you.

Have you ever had a day where you felt low on energy? Not feeling so great ever since you get up in the morning. You chugged your hot coffee down, or better….you chugged your STRONG and HOT coffee down and it still didn’t do anything for you? You’re just waiting for your day to pass through. As quickly as possible, so that you can just get home, lie down on your favourite spot on the couch. Get comfy, shut your brain off and have a couple beers while entertaining yourself just waiting for the “Sleep Time”. You can just wind down and prepare for another crappy day just like it over and over until the Friday.

Let’s not even get started about the Friday, it feels like the best day of the week because the moment you’ve been waiting for (aka “The Weekend”) has come and finally you punch out at the end of the day, run home and get a head start on “The Weekend” that you’ve been waiting on since the last weekend.

By the end of the weekend (which actually passes by in just a blink of your eye and then back to work) before you even realize it, starting to get through another week just to get to the next weekend. Sounds familiar?

If it does, it’s all the effects of you having an Energy Leak in your day.

What now?

It’s true that we start everyday of our life with a finite amount of energy in the morning. And we spend it all day jumping through the hoops, trying to just get through the day. All those tasks that we tackle in our day, takes some toll on that energy reserve of ours. Now, by the end of the work day, you should still have a good amount of energy reserve left (unless you work 12+ hour days). Now, this energy reserve should be almost as much as half the reserve you started with in the morning. If it’s not, you have the Energy Leak.

This is the loss of Energy that shouldn’t have happened. It steals time from you being productive and full of energy when you’re off to home, spending time with family or working on a side gig that you should’ve been fully focusing on to get out of the boring office job. But this doesn’t happen and you end up losing all that energy, feeling spent at the end of the day just to finish the day in front of the idiot box with a beer in your hand just to get ready for the next day to come and go, repeating, getting stuck in that endless cycle.

Conclusion:

Remember, Everyday is a chance of Re-do to do things better than yesterday and improvise, learn as much as possible from your mistakes yesterday and do something different today even just as a minor step to set yourself on a better path to life, to success and to a wonderful life you can be proud of.
